Volunteer Support Days

Home

Pets as Therapy recognises that without its PAT volunteers and their dogs and cats, there wouldn’t be a Charity. In recognition of this and in response to your suggestions in the Volunteer Questionnaire, we are announcing our new Volunteer Support Days.

RECENT UPDATES & TIMETABLE

Although attendance is on a purely voluntary basis, we would very much hope that you can join us

  • To be held at regional venues across the UK

  • Meet other PAT volunteers and their dogs

  • Meet the PAT staff and ask them any burning questions you have!

  • Find out what’s been happening in the Charity recently

  • Share your experiences and perhaps get some new ideas for visits

  • A guest speaker for each support day*

  • Learn about doggy behaviour and how to protect your PAT Dog and yourself on visits

  • Refreshments and a light lunch will be provided

  • Volunteers’ travel expenses will be re-imbursed**

Please register your interest NOW! (this helps us to decide which regions to target first)
How? Send your postcode, your name and that of your PAT dog/cat to the Research & Training Manager Alison Reynolds

*The guest speaker may be a local healthcare practitioner, another PAT volunteer undertaking specialist work, or a young researcher/student.  ** Volunteers’ travel expenses may be reimbursed if necessary
