Fundraising

Help us spread the joy
Fundraising for Pets As Therapy is a brilliant way to make a difference while doing something you enjoy. Every pound raised helps us bring the joy and comfort of PAT visits to more people in hospitals, schools, care homes and communities across the UK. You don’t have to be a marathon runner (though if you’d like to take on a sponsored run, walk or cycle, we’d love to cheer you on!) — there are countless fun ways to get involved.
You could host a coffee morning or bake sale, organise a quiz night, hold a garden party, or even set up a sponsored dog walk with family and friends. Children might love a read-a-thon or a dress-down day at school. Workplaces often get behind sweepstakes, raffles or team challenges. And if you’re feeling adventurous, you could sign up for a skydive, obstacle race or charity swim. Big or small, every event not only raises vital funds, but also helps spread the word about the incredible impact of PAT.

Turn clicks into tail wags - set up your online fundraising page
One of the easiest ways to raise money for Pets As Therapy is to create your own online fundraising page. You can do this through Enthuse (our preferred platform) or JustGiving.
The advantages of online fundraising pages:
- Quick and easy to set up - you’ll be ready to go in minutes.
- Friends, family, colleagues and neighbours can donate securely, wherever they are.
- Your page keeps track of donations automatically, so you don’t have to.
- You can tell your story, share updates, and inspire others by showing your progress.
- Donations are transferred straight to Pets As Therapy, including any Gift Aid.
Tips for creating a great fundraising page:
- Add a personal story – explain why you’re supporting Pets As Therapy and what the charity means to you.
- Use photos or videos – a picture of you with your PAT Pet or preparing for your challenge makes it more engaging.
- Set a fundraising target – people love to help you reach (and beat!) a goal.
- Post regular updates – share training progress, event milestones or even a thank you message when you hit £100.
- Spread the word – share your page link by email, WhatsApp, and across your social media channels.
Whether you’re running a 10k, hosting a coffee morning or celebrating a birthday, an online page makes it easy for others to support you — and helps us spread even more joy through the power of pets.

Boost your gift with Gift Aid
If you’re a UK taxpayer, Gift Aid lets us claim an extra 25p for every £1 you give – at no extra cost to you. That means your £20 gift becomes £25, helping us reach even more people.
Each year, £560 million in Gift Aid goes unclaimed by UK charities, so if you can, please tick that box.

How do I set up a fundraising page
There are websites such as Enthuse that allow you to create your own fundraising web page. Once created, people can donate to your campaign and leave a supportive message. The money you raise, including any Gift Aid, is automatically paid to Pets As Therapy.
If you’ve set up an online giving page then you don’t need to do anything - your online page updates your personal fundraising automatically.
Call us and pay in your fundraising money over the phone using your credit or debit card. We are open Monday to Thursday, 9am - 3.30pm on 01865 671440.
If you would like to post a cheque, please make it payable to Pets As Therapy and post it to us at:
Hampden House, Monument Business Park, Chalgrove, Oxfordshire, OX44 7RW
If you have created a fundraising page on a fundraising site, they will ask each individual who donates to your campaign if they would like to add Gift Aid. They will process Gift Aid on all eligible donations and pay the funds directly to Pets As Therapy.
If you are paying the money directly to us and are unsure if you have a Gift Aid Declaration with us, simply download and complete the form and email to us at info@petsastherapy.org.
