Help us to help others

Coffee morning or cheese and wine evening, marathon or wing walk – there are countless ways to fundraise for Pets As Therapy. Every pound raised helps us create moments of magic in hospitals, schools, care homes and other community spaces across the UK.

You could host a cake sale, organise a quiz night or go on a sponsored dog walk with family and friends. Children might love a read-a-thon or dress-down day at school. Sweepstakes, raffles or team challenges are popular in workplaces. And if you’re feeling adventurous, you could sign up for a skydive, obstacle race or charity swim.

Big or small, every event not only raises vital funds, but also helps spread the word about the incredible impact of PAT.

Set up your online fundraising page

If you're organising your own event, one of the easiest ways to raise money for PAT is to create your own online fundraising page. You can do this through Enthuse (our preferred platform) or JustGiving.

Advantages of online fundraising pages:

  • It's quick and easy to set up - you’ll be ready to go in minutes.
  • Friends, family, colleagues and neighbours can donate securely, wherever they are.
  • Your page keeps track of donations automatically, so you don’t have to.
  • You can tell your story, share updates and inspire others by showing your progress.
  • Donations are transferred straight to Pets As Therapy, including any Gift Aid.

Here are our top tips for creating a great fundraising page:

  • Add a personal story – explain why you’re supporting Pets As Therapy and what the charity means to you.
  • Use photos or videos – a picture of you with your PAT Pet or preparing for your challenge makes it more engaging.
  • Set a fundraising target – people love to help you reach (and beat!) a goal.
  • Post regular updates – share training progress, event milestones or even a thank you message when you hit £100.
  • Spread the word – share your page link by email, WhatsApp and across your social media channels.

Boost your gift with Gift Aid

If you’re a UK taxpayer, Gift Aid lets us claim an extra 25p for every £1 you give – at no extra cost to you. That means your £20 gift becomes £25, helping us reach even more people.

Each year, £560 million in Gift Aid goes unclaimed by UK charities, so if you can, please tick that box.
