During a lengthy battle with clinical depression, James experienced first-hand the positive impact that dogs can have on your mental health. After coming out the other side of this dark period, he found himself wanting to give back to his beloved pets, and also to enrich the lives of others.

James applied to be a PAT Volunteer with two of his dogs and says he's incredibly proud to be involved with Pets As Therapy. As an Ambassador, he is keen to raise awareness of the charity in any way he can, and he encourages others to get involved, too.

Josette Simon OBE is an actor and has appeared in films and TV dramas including Spooks and Death in Paradise. She's also had leading roles with the Royal Shakespeare Company and the Royal National Theatre.

Josette and her dog Milo are a PAT Team, and visit hospital stroke units, mental health facilities, as well as adult and children's hospices. She says volunteering is a truly wonderful thing to do.

As a PAT Ambassador, Josette helps to spread the word about Pets As Therapy, and strives to make people aware of the unique and extraordinary work of the charity.
